Default No rear brake pressure. SV650.

Morning all,

My bike was had a new rear pad fitted to pass it's mot back in May along with a major service by the dealer. I haven't ridden much since but my rear brake no longer works now. My pedal travels to the bottom without resistance and the brake light is activated but their is no braking power at all. I don't use the rear much so haven't noticed until recently. Could this just be a siezed caliper or something more sinister?

Did you change the brake oil when you changed brake pads? Could be air in the line?

Not sure if brake oil was changed. I'm guessing that the caliper would not routinely be stripped and cleaned for a simple pad replacement. Is stripping and cleaning a straight forward job?

sized caliper in general will still have a solid feel ,but not push the brake on.
its possible the seals may have let air in the master or caliper.
If your confident bleed the brake first
