Injury claim settled...finally!
Well, following my accident last August (car-driver failed to notice I'd stopped, so drove straight into the back of me), I've finally got a fair offer for my injuries.
Had been offered £2,200 for the inflamed disk in my back, minor scarring, and the £300+ that I'm out of pocket for unisured losses. My solicitor said I could drag it out longer, but it'd be a long time to get hardly any more. With my business starting soon, I can use the money asap, so I've accepted the offer. God knows why it now takes another four weeeks to get the cheque though Ride safe everyone. Jo |

my insurance has just paid out after an accident last june, the cheque is currentley in the post on its way home.
Luckily it was only the bike that was damaged, hope u get better. I wouldn't have minded the wait so much if the other insurance comany had kept my soliciter in the loop, it tunred out there were vaild reasons for the deplays but because they said silent i was starting the legal process to recover the money. |

I am still fighting my claim from when I was hit from behind, whilst stopped at a red traffic light. Apparently soft tissue injuries to shoulder first offer £3500
So four courses of Physio and even tried acupuncture. I am in constant discomfort and the shoulder aches. Even now sat here typing there is this nagging pain. I have seen two different "Consultants" on behalf of the insurance company the first turns out to be a general looker and not orthopaedic specialist which makes my own man laugh as he had said all my injuries would be cured within 6 months of the accident. 2.5 years later I am still in pain. See them in court unless there is a healthy out of court. What I want is simply enough to fund the cost of having a replacement shoulder joint fitted should it prove necessary at some point in the next 20 years. Oh and enough beer to take my mind off the pain until then Still they paid out for my helmet and leathers within 2 months of the accident, argued about me wanting full replacement cost, but as I was able to produce a receipt showing them to be only 6 days old (True, I had only bought them and the Blandit that week) they hadn't a leg to stand on

I got offered £1750.00 as a second offer for my injury after being hit from behind at a red traffic light too which I think is poo! I had slight whiplash in my lower back and pulled all the tendons in my right arm which inflamed and trpped my ulna nerve giving me pins and needles in my fingers for weeks. The accident was in December and my arm still hurts so I'm trying to drag it out for a bit longer.

I got £1750 as the initial offer, but my solicitor recommended I reject it as I was still having physio to sort my back out.
I'd turn down anything until you've finished your treatment...unless you really need the cash that is! Jo |
