Michelin Pilot sport vs Michelin pilot road
What's the difference between those 2? Does the sport have more grip than road? Does the road last longer?
There is an offer on Michelin's pilot sports at the moment. 2 pairs for 235 GBP. I am tempting to get them unless they last only few thousands miles? Any got them? What are they like? |

For that price who cares, get them. They're good tyres. Lasted 4.5k miles on my ZX-6R.

Re: Michelin Pilot sport vs Michelin pilot road
Check the offer on the Pilot Power and the Pilot Road to see if they are the 2CT variants or just the standard Pilots. The 2CT versions are dual compound and this in the latest Michelin Tyre. The Standard Pilots are the older models (which is why they might be on offer), not that they aren't great tyres, I had them on the 955i Daytona and really liked them but I did find the rear squared off quickly, I then changed it for the 2CT version and found that to be much better in terms of not squaring (sp?)so badly. I didn't see much over 3K in terms of mileage but that isn't unusual for a sports orientated tyre.
I found them to be good tyres and at 235 for 2 pairs sounds like a steal. |

Can you share where you're getting them from at that price. Mine are coming up for replacing. Might be a bit of an investment!

Re: Michelin Pilot sport vs Michelin pilot road
They don't look like the dual compound ones to me... However, good price for two pairs!

I seem to recall you denying your Blade had a 16" front wheel when I alluded to the subject in the thread you posted about your new purchase? Please carry on,ignore me..... |
