Monster Trucks the movie. Which is what happens when you let a seven year old pick what to see. Followed by the obligatory trip to Nandos.

The antidote was to watch all of Modus over 3 days after Christmas which I really enjoyed.

Oh, I forgot I'd watched this on Sky movies the other day. Polish language, with subtitles, good film of the harrowing battle for Warsaw.

Hello Folks,

I'll chip in with my two faves from the christmas hols were:

Mystery Road - Aussie outback cop flick. Was on the BBC. Slow brooding and beautiful.

Midnight Special - Southern states chase flick. SKY. Slow brooding and beautiful.

Best one I've seen recently was Sully.

About the plane that went down in the Hudson and subsequent attempts to pin blame on the captain.

Great film on every level.

BBC had some good Aussie dramas on 4 recently.

Watched A Most Violent Year last night on BBC2,nice steady paced film with truly believable story and not too many characters involved !!!

Massively disappointed by John Wick 2. Lots of stylised violence and a very thin plot. Not a patch on the first one.

Saw that today and I quite enjoyed it. They have left it open for a third film.

Ok lets get this thread moving again. Watched Sully again this morning, still a great movie.

Another recent favourite, which I've watched at least twice on Sky movies is

Based on a true story, which is why I like it. Same as Sully
