Depends, if the phone is locked to the tesco network then it wont work just like that. But you can get it unlocke, theres usually a stall on your local market the charge about a tenner then you'll be able to put any sim in

£15 to unlock via tesco or the nice man on the market will do it for a fiver is how i recalled my old phone on tesco.
