Default How many years riding before your first off?

Title says it all really. Would be interesting to see if there's anyone around who's been riding for say 10+ years without a crash.

my dad had a long period without any accidents

then he promptly rode a speedfight into the back of a car. Becasue he was checking out the progress of a building site.

I've been down twice, First was a mates bike but the damage was reserved mostly for myself that was about 18 months before I took a CBT. (on private property obviously)
2nd was about 2 weeks before I took my full test and I flipped the DT apparently looked awsome but damage was sod all to both myself and bike.
Yet to ditch the SV.

Didn't drop/crash my CG125 for the entire time I had it (1 year+ of daily commuting) dropped SV twice within 2 months of getting it. Once braking in wet slipped off seat over handle bars, once hit oil when setting off at a mini-roundabout.

First time riding my BSA50.
First time on KX85
First time on CR125

See a pattern developing here?

On the road it was about a month and 7-800 miles on the 125. On the SV about 2 months.
