Textile repairs in North Wales / North West?
My textile jacket has lost a few 'poppers' off the storm flap. I cannot get replacements from Spada but they will repair it if I send it off. This option is quite expensive...
So! OMO does anyone know of a firm in North Wales / North West that can do textile repairs? Or of a mail order firm for new poppers? Or a send off service for repairs which is reasonable and reliable? TIA |

Re: Textile Repairs in North Wales / North West
Hill4Leather are based in Hampshireand and can do this sort of work by post at £4 a popper + postage, they're pretty reliable and the workmanship is decent but I'm not sure if this is any cheaper than sending to Spada for repairs. HTH

Re: Textile repairs in North Wales / North West?
I repaired my Leather jacket poppers with chromed replacements that I found in my local sowing supplies store. The poppers came as a kit and I only needed to supply the hammer. The repair took two minutes, most of which was spent swearing at the price of repairs given how easy it is to do. Total price for twenty poppers plus fitting tool was under a fiver.
Just a thought... |

I got mine done at Hill4Laether and they were good, could also try http://www.andelleleathers.co.uk/ in Bolton, don't know if they do textiles though.

Re: Textile repairs in North Wales / North West?
Thanks all.
Ste, Bolton is a bit too far for me but I'll check out mail order to send the jacket. Repair by Spada might be similar price... I'm still waiting for a response! Jayne you have PM. |
