I am sure Ben Spies would gladly relinquish his Yamaha ride.

Today.

Not too many years ago Valentino was without question the best out there. However in the time that he has struggled to make the Ducati a winner again, the likes of Lorenzo and Pedrosa have become even more polished as riders. Next season will be interesting but I have a feeling that other riders than those mentioned will be making a lot of headlines next season e.g.Crutchlow and Dovi.

Ive said it before but VR should have retired when he fell off and broke his leg.He was the goat then but has never been back at the top sinse.

Pretty sure he got some podiums and won a race or two on the Yamaha after breaking his leg?

Whichever stance you take on the matter, it's going to be an interesting season next year for sure.

This is all part of his retirement plan from what I have heard/read. He spends two more seasons on the M1 in MotoGP hopefully finishing respectively then go off to WSBK and ride the main factory team's R1 for three seasons. Not a bad way to go out of racing, a cushy number

Yes.I didnt mean he is no good any more, just that he was previously the best, the GOAT,but there comes a time when that is no longer the case.Id rather have seen the GOAT retire at the top,not slowly slide down the rankings until we all forget just how good he was in his day.

I dont think he slowly slid anywhere, he made a wrong turn, jumped on a pig of a bike that he couldnt adjust to and plunged to the depths. Having these guys stay in the championship is what keeps it interesting for me.

As for Rossi, I'm sure he wouldnt want to close the story like this, he is hungry and has a point to prove. I cannot wait for this season to get underway.

I think we'll see a rejuvenated VR, a championship is a tall order, simply because of the quality of the competition, but podiums and who knows - perhaps even the top step? Entirely possible.
