Bluetooth headsets

Anybody any advice or experiance with one. I've some serious miles planned but fear losing some of thr group.

Autocom seems to be the way to go

The Scala Rider Q2 looks good but you can only have 3 bikes linked up at a time.

Saves a lot of messing around with wires etc as it's just one unit that clips to your helmet.

Quite a good review here but it's from a Harley rider so he problbly didn't go very fast

If your far enough away to loose the group then your far enough away for the bluetooth to not work. Unless its just to get from something to your helmet. In that case I shall shut my face.

reason for the bluetooth is to link it to a phone and call for help if lost or 'BAcon and egg on toast, with Tea' if I'm lagging behind.

The Q2 uses bluetooth for both Bike to Bike and communication with other devices.

Use the local bluetooth for things like "i need to stop for a minute I have an itch" and then if you get lost you can just press one button and ring your mate. If using a radio you'd probably be out of range within a mile and if you're travelling in opposite directions at (ahem) 60mph then you'd be out of range of the radio pretty quickly. With the Bluetooth connected to a phone in theory you'd never be out of range.
