Today would be a good day to judicially invest in shares. I believe that the stock market has panicked and shares have been oversold. There are bargains out there. For example, Howdens, who make kitchen units for the UK market, is down 20%. That makes no sense at all.

Maybe a trader hates his Howden kitchen and is getting petty revenge?

I'm all for NTEC's plan, pint and wait for it all to blow over sounds good !

Greggs plc(LON:GRG) 984.50 -103.50 (-9.51%)

The first clear indication the markets think there wont be a recession after Brexit.

Howden has 24 distribution centres in Europe and is their largest expansion prospects. They also have high exposure to Euro and USD. 25% of the products are manufactured in the UK. They are in a decent position next to others but net currency trades accounted for almost £10m profit for them in 2015.

With volatility comes opportunity in financial markets, to make a bundle or to lose it all. Most long term investors will be hedging risk away (and lose growth). Real interest rates have gone same way as the GBP today.

Thanks for that Balky001. It was just an example but I still think 20% drop is too much. After all, it may take a couple of years before we are out. What happens to the market in the meantime?

Judging by this morning, the markets will slowly creep back to normal levels over the coming weeks
