Re: Oulton today
It was more than good. Only did the afternoon, and managed to **** up at Lodge by turning in too early, ended up on the weird mesh they've installed as run-off on the exit. I managed to overcome my unwarranted fear of lefts as well - Cascades and Island are absolutely wonderful corners and the rise over Dear's Leap with 13K on the tacho is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Pete Wileman took pics, and as luck would have it, only in the afternoon cos he was at Donington for the morning. |

Its an awesome track, raced there for a couple of years now. Racing my K3 in mini-twins at Oulton on 12th April if anybody is interested.
Did you do the full track Lozzo? |

You get a real rush of speed down the avenue into cascades eh? And the rise up the hill under the bridge after Knickerbrook is fantastic. I think my fav section is just after that through druids (watch the bump on the left as you exit ) |

Re: Oulton today
The exit to Druids is quite daunting on a bike with no steering damper, the change in tarmac made the CBR twitch a fair bit on the power. I quite liked the drive up Clay Hill under the first bridge and into Druids. I got a nice sweeping line through there after following my mate Danny the instructor for a couple of laps.
You're right about the approach to Cascades, a corner I absolutely love - strange, because I have had an unjustified fear of lefts for years, but I overcame it within 5 laps of Oulton and was regularly knee down through there and Island from then on. |

Re: Oulton today
Excellent, glad you enjoyed it. You should try Anglesey too, the new circuit is awesome.

Re: Oulton today
Got a novice day booked on 2nd April. Looking forward to it, though I expect to be overtaken a lot by much smaller bikes.
