Yeah, my new rubber just turned up.
I'll get them fitted at the weekend and give feed back as and when. They look good.

Very interested with these. Not sure if I just want to get a cheap set of 3s as I know and trust them.

I hope these will be a good choice, I too wondered about the Pilot Powers - to help with my inability to lean as far as I'd like, but as I ride every day rain shine or snow I hope these will be better suited.
When I say they look nice, on reflection the tread pattern is, well not as appealing as the ones on the Road Smarts 2's I just had. Looks like someone went mad with a scalpel. Still I can't see them when fitted. I am relatively new to bikes, this is my 1st big bike and only my second tyre swap. The Road Smarts were great, way better than the worn out stock thing that came on my bike (RS did 8000 odd miles forgot to make a note when fitted - 14 months). The guy who did my last MOT recommended Michelin as my tyres were getting a bit low. As I have no idea which brands I like I gave it a go. Fingers crossed I like them. I'll whip them off tonight and run them down the road tomorrow. I did think about having a go myself, as I have a vice and big tyre levers. But no way to balance the things, I did find out how via google. Might invest and try next time round.

I have maybe 4mm chicken strips in the summer.
I have at most 1.5cm of chicken strip in the winter. On wet roads the PR3 looks like it will move water off the edges of the Tyre whilst cornering. The PR4 looks to be slick on the outer edges of the tyre, meaning in the wet - less grip! Basically, I'm sticking to PR3's - I want to keep my confidence in the wet. - I get at least 15,000miles from a rear on my SV on PR3's, I'm happy with that. |

Btw, who get's properly leant over in the rain anyway? I suppose they've made the edges with less tread to stiffen the carcass a little (re complaints about PR3's moving around) and give more dry grip because nobody on road usually get to the edge of the tyre in this sort of weather we're having. |

Well first ride done this morning, in the semi dark, whilst slightly very cold and a little damp/foggy. Perfect.
Just like every other day lately. Still it wasn't actually raining and there were no big fook off puddles so I won't complain. Initial response is they feel good, however my RS were pretty fooked. Gave them a quick blap and they responded as I expected. For my memory - tyres fitted @18439 I do like a round tyre, wish I could afford a new set more often. Like before they need doing!
