Trackday Monday 28th(bank holiday) - SV650.org

Hi all,
Anyone from here going to do it?
If the weather is good ill be doing it,
Look out for me if your going there..

If all goes well ill be turning her into a race bike and racing this year!!
So hope it all goes well!!!!

I am actually thinking about starting to do trackdays. I had a quick look at the mondello site.
I have to buy some leathers first. Do you actually need to have completed the 2 full years on an A licence before being able to do a trackday?
I would not do a trackday on the SV. I need it for getting to work. I am going to buy a KR1S as a project bike and hope to use that.

Yeah you should mate its sooo muhc fun,
good idea about gettin a stroker for the track,
no you dont need to have the full license for 2 years,
i done one 3 months after i got my full license,
and people will tell you this,
dunlop(final corner) tightens up so watch it

Well what a glorious day it was
Got the bike up to mondello and it was sunny and lovely,
got all fired up went out on the track for the first session,
first sighting lap was a joke..so so so slow,2nd lap wasnt much better with me passing no less than 8 riders,mostly all on r1's with brand new leathers etc,
start getting into the flow of things then,got the knee and the peg down,
came in from the first session on a high,as i turned off the bike i noticed a wee drip of oil what looked like coming from the sump,we investigated and found it was coming from the RHS oil cover(gasket needs changing)not wanting to pack up and go we cleaned it up and said ill go out again,went out again,1st sighting lap was terribly slow again,came onto the 2nd lap(passed an r1 on the straight..lol?)came to the first corner,leaning over well,came to the 2nd corner leaning and leaning..next off all the back wheel overtakes the front and washes out,sends me flying into the grass,picked the bike up and looked at the edge of the tyre,,****ing oil!!!!!

,and the best news is my friend got it all on ****ING CAMERA!!!!!,was a bit ****ed off but i am fine and sv isnt too bad,i had great fun out there and its time to put the race fairings and have some track fun,theres no better place for it!
Anway ill post the video up as soon as my friend sends it to me!
