2000 650 suspension mod
Has anyone done a suspension mod on a 2000 sv650? I find the stock setup a bit twitchy - especially at higher speed. I was quoted about $1500 USD - parts and labor by a shop owner - which sounds way too high. Would love to know which GSX parts are a straight swap into the 2000. Sorry if this is redundant. Cheers.

I fitted a ZX6 '04 shock into my K2 curvey bike. Very good but needs battery to be moved under rear seat and cutting of the undertray.
I only got it for £40, so much cheeper that buying new.

What is it that you're being quoted $1500 for?

$1500 ought to buy you a GSXR front end and top-drawer rear shock, Penske or similiar...
Very few useful GSXR parts are direct swap, but loads can be fitted with a bit of finagling...

you can use any gsxr front end from k1 + (750/1000) or the K4 600 front end.
1500 sounds about right for a complete gsxr front end, including wheel, discs, callipers, yokes and clipons plus all the usual (inc labour). if it were 1500 for just the rear shock and labour to fit then thats way way high TRICK |
