Ha ha, look at picture number 3.

People walking in cycle lanes is a nuisance, especially when they glare when the cycle "buzzes" them. Gf is of dutch descent and wants me to go on a biking holiday to holland with her. Apparently motorbikes are allowed in cycle lanes there.

I thought that the cycle lanes in Holland were called 'roads'

At least Amsterdam seems to have very few cars and millions of cyclists. It's a very cycle-friendly country.

So it's true proper bikes can? I had visions of her mistaking scooters or mopeds for motorbikes (bless!). I take it catching the ferry over isn't too tricky?

Taken from the site the BBC borrowed some of the pictures from:
http://www.17beechroad.freeserve.co....bruary2006.htm

Apparently this "isn't a cycle lane". Read the "full correspondence"; it's typical of the "we must adhere to protocol, even if it's dangerous and nonsensical" attitude one regularly encounters when dealing with beauracrats.

Yes and bike theft is rife. Even ordinary decent people seem to think if your bike is nicked, you can just nick someone elses! (or so a dutch mate told me)
