Default Lake Vyrnwy Hotel

Afternoon tea on the terrace of the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel, absolutely awesome.

Lots of little roast beef and horseradish sandwiches with the crusts cut off, beautiful scones with blackcurrant jam and clotted cream, shortbread and very good tea.

Oh, and cracking roads and countryside in every direction.

Ohhh often wondered what that was like. Was it expensive? and if so, was it worth the extra?

Afternoon tea was £9.50 per person, a wee bit indulgent but definitely worth it.

Earned bundles of brownie points with my girlfriend

Lots of bikers there as well, so cool bikes to admire and nice conversation to be had.

That's what it's all about! £9.50 for afternoon tea is not that bad really. We will give it a go in the near future, Vyrnwy is beautiful in the autumn when the trees change colour. Cheers for the info!

Went here yesterday afternoon and can highly recommend it! It's a little run down but everthig was clean, the staff courteous and food good. The views are to die for, it was gorgeous afternoon so everything just looked stunning. I hope you can see the photo below....

It's a good view from the verandah. Was it warm enough to sit outside Mike?

Gary, can you see the photo?

It was lovely and warm with the sun shining down, sitting outside was definitely the preferred option.

Excellent! I can see the picture but I wondered if you'd maybe nipped outside to take it. I've been there before when it's been beautifully sunny but definitely too cold to be sat out!
