Just watched Look East TV forecast. 3° and heavy rain on Monday. Hope that changes before Monday or I won't be there. Don't own waterproofs at the mo.

Hi all,

The BBC forecast I've just seen, and the Metcheck website, are now currently predicting continuous rain for Monday.

I'm conscious that the Voxes have planned, and probably shopped for, their BBQ - but however much I love riding my bike, the prospect of a soggy day in the rain doesn't make me happy.

With this in mind, I just called Jon and he very kindly said that he's still planning to be at the meeting point in Southend for anyone who wants to meet - even if it's just to go straight to the house for some food. But he also understands that those making a longer journey in the rain may decide to stay at home in the dry.

For those who are departing from the Ace, it might be an idea to have your own map / directions with you! I'll probably decide on Sunday evening... Fingers crossed the forecast changes...

The best site to check is this one - as it shows the satellite and you can tell from that if rain is coming and how heavy. Head Groundsman at works swears by this site as it is very accurate.

Yahoo and BBC weather both said it would rain in Chelmsford today - still dry here at the moment so like Cazza, I'll have a quick look on Monday morning.

The burgers can be made tomorrow and frozen for another get together if I don't make it. Or if people are planning to go to the Vox's for food I can just come in the car and bring supplies to his.

We'll both see what the weather is like on monday and decide. I've just changed hoops on my bike today so dont really fancy riding in the wet on brand new slippery tyres. But we shall see. Hopefully the Met will get it wrong this time.
