for those a little longer in the leg...riding comfort
When I was wearing jeans only I could just about fold myself onto my 650S, now that I have leathers, its not too comfortable.
I want to retain the sports position so what are my options - can I move the footpegs to offer more room/ is jacking up the back end going to make much difference or do I just have to lump it? 6'2" with approx 33" inside leg. |

Jacking up the back end wont make any difference. You still aren't changing the peg to bum distance.
I believe xXbadgerXx has got something that has lowered the pegs down for him, try PMing him.

I think I read somewhere on here about buying rearsets and reverse the positions thus lowering the pegs.

If the leathers are new I'd see if they break in a bit, mine did and I'm on the gangly side.
I believe that SV650 foot-rest hangers are lower than SV650S ones, so finding parts or swapping with a nekkid rider looking for more clearance for trackdays might be an option. Jambo

I recently bought footrest jack up plates, which i'll turn upside down for more leg room. I think thats what xxbadgerxx did.

HAHA
we have exactly the same inside leg measurement but i'm only 5'8 / 5'9, bloomin orang-utan syndrome i also found the SV a bit uncomfy on the longer rides, i found the pegs pushing the balls of my feet up causing my ankles to twist beyond their comfortable range and my calves to stretch, but it wasn't the seat height that was the problem, it was the height of the fuel tank compared to the Daytona 675 the seat is even closer to the pegs than on the SV, but the tank is narrower and the whole bike taller, which means there's enough room between the top of the tank and the pegs for my lower legs to reach in comfort, no cramps, even though the riding position is dramatically sportier

You can swap the SV pegs for a set for a Buell. I have done and they are about an inch and a half lower. The hero blogs have to come off though.
It's too dark now, but I'll post pics tomorow. Pegs cost about £20, the worst bit is going into a Harley Dealer and making sure your mates don't see you!
