Once he's REALLY sure the strange dog has gone he'll come back I'm sure.

I called Future Pensions, they said you can't use these years 2007, 2008 (I don't know why).
I call HMRC back and they say fill out an NI38 form (why didn't they tell me that the first time?)

I fill out an NI38 and send it in, they received it April 16th (4 months ago). I have just received a letter saying they need more information. I call them and am told they cannot take information over the phone and yes, it will take another 4 months when I write in again. They also said if I supplied a phone number they could call me - on the cover letter I sent (which they quoted from) was my email address and my phone number.

Pathetic.
People used to moan about the number of civil servants, but now everything's been centralised and with no local office's anymore, it's not so great if you want something sorted.

But that's government for yah, always looking to axe services, without knowing the problems that Joe public will encounter, as it doesn't affect them

Oh yes, just think of all the new government bodies we'll have to deal with come the big exit, and they'll all be inexperienced, understaffed and set up on a shoestring with vague ill thought out protocols and uncertain and conflicting rules. What joy.

care workers. the wife is supposed to have one main care worker and maybe another two care workers attending to her needs while i recover but are supposed to know the routine. was woken AGAIN this morning with another one who hasn't got a fekin clue. normally i would take them through the procedure but this one was a little argumentative, i was not in the mood as i was really sore so they got told to leave.

WTF is the point...

Same with my father. The carers keep changing and the new ones need training on the equipment and routine so what's the point as mother has to train then to do what they should be doing so she doesn't have to. It is not that it's cheap, it isn't. It's expensive and she still does half the job so it's hardly surprising she has a reputation with the carers for being demanding.

the main care worker for my wife is an 18 year old girl who is fantastic but the company is taking the pizz. she works from 7am till 11pm most days and has not had a day off since she started. why does she work so many hours? she genuinely cares about her clients. you might say that working all those hours is against the law.. well no, as she only gets paid for the time she is allocated to the clients and travel time is not paid.
