Default Avon Azaro

Bought a pair the other day because my D208 were only lasting 3500 miles (doing 1000 miles a month it's getting a bit costly). I am so impressed
They are quick to warm up & seem to grip just as well as the Dunlops. I have also noticed that the sides aren't chewing up like the Dunlops either, so hopefully will last a lot longer.

Really rated mine, they seem to suit the SV.

which ones are you talking about, Here I'm prosuming you're talking Azaro 2's, so the 45/6 or the 49/50's ?

AM45's. Bought them from "round & black" or something like that. £141.95 for the pair delivered.

AM's are Azaros and not 2's (circa 2000 onwards), the 45/46 combo is the sports tourer choice (the 49/50 is the sport), but because of the variable belt structure they give very good feed back, the only reason I changed to Z6'S was high mileage out of them, but used 6 sets of the AV45/6 and one set of 49/50's on the SV, were very good.

Yeah I used AV45/46 and they were really good, great feedback and sticky. I thought mileage was reasonable my first rear lasting 6K miles.

Round and Black are doing AV46 on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/170-60ZR17-Avo...713.m153.l1262

The price is extremely attractive compared to the others.

You will notice they only stock a 170. Was it the 170 you were using? Or are these just old stock on a now superseded tyre and that is why the price seems so competative (but it's just an old tyre that has been sat on a shelf for 6 years)??

And what was the conclusion on mileage compared to others?? .. I'd say 6k was a massive amount surely??

I was using standard tyre sizes, so a 160 on the rear. I guess this is old stock as this tyre has been superseded by the Avon Storm (AV55 (F) / AV56 (R)), although Avon themselves were listing 160's of the Azarro a couple of months back.

You see, I find this a little bezzar ... (sizes) http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcyc...howspecs&id=18

The storms are quite a bit more expensive

Looks like they are running the stocks down of the 'obsolete' tyre. Storms may be more expensive, but still cheap compared to other brands. You won't be disappointed by them, like mine a lot.
