Default So, what Scottish dealers, where?

So, no more Alvins... I'm sure some Edinburgh dealer will crop up, but in the meantime where's the nearest good Suzuki dealership? I need a clutch o-ring and a cam chain tensioner gasket

C'mon Andy - just wait 'til the next strike when the toll booths (passport checkpoints) will be closed. It's worth the run.

I went up to St Andrews last Saturday in the cage with the family and stopped off at Cupars on route.....the staff made me feel welcome and have offered a wee shot of the SV1000S next time I go up.

They even suggested booking my SV in for a service and they will give me the 1000 for a few hours whilst the the service is done

They also had a CBR1100SuperBlackbird which was Black and looked awsome I fell in love with it but £7000 is a lot of dosh

Why don't you just mail order from someone like robinsons fouondry.

Probably have it in stock as well.

Or is this for future reference?

Future reference really... i don't much like paying postage on parts either, and it's good to have a shop you have some sort of relationship with should things go pear shaped

It doesn't look good for biking in Edinburgh - in the last 18mnths, Edinburgh Kawasaki, Alan Duffus and now Alvins have closed. Duffus also closed their Dundee shop. What next?

BMW have opened but they have a niche market which is pretty loyal so they should be ok.

Glasgow still has a few dealerships

Ducatti Harley Suzuki Honda Yamaha

Guess Edinburgh is too posh for bikes

Then again, 2 Wheels have expanded their operation (mainly because of cretinous Honda single-make dealer restrictions, I think). I'd give it a year tops before a new Suzuki dealership opens up in or near the city, myself... But on a smaller scale than Alvins. Something a bit more Carrick-esque in volume maybe (though hopefully not in quality)
