Default Random Thought

Been pondering this for all of 2 mins:

You know how in the US everyone calls the president and ex-presidents as "Mr President" to them in person.

However, if I (being a British Citizen) met Barack Obama or George Bush etc. would I have to refer to them in the same manner?

Just read in an article a whilde back about George Bush getting ****y because someone didn't call him "Mr President" which left me thinking "Do you have to if you're not a US citizen?"

Have to? You don't HAVE to call them anything.

Did any of the presidents change their name to suit their job title?

If not, they'd be "Mr Bush" or "Mr Obama" to me... doesn't matter if they're still doing the job or not.

Or surely just plain "George" would be fine!? Just another person to me.
