Insurance renewal time
Hi all , decided to keep the sv for another year .
Due for renewal shortley so have been scanning round internet for prices paid 290 (with ebike) last year fcomp for new SV650S, I'm 36 with 2 years NCB , this included 2 totals losses in 2005 , wrote my zxr750 on snow & my wife totaled the car as well on my insurance , was on 8 years NCB on the bike went to 2 ouch . This year ebike want 235 Motorcycle direct want 188 Express Insurance 190 Bike team want 120 ! I believe that ebike offer sv650 org a 20 quid SV650.org Discount Scheme? In which case it will 100 quid FC ! Any one using Bike Team ? The strange thing is that all of the above apart from ebike are using Equity Red star as under writters , so don't know how bike team can be so much cheaper ? Cheers Steve

Re: Insurance renewal time
Insurance companies - law unto themselves.
A mate of mine got a renewal quote for his Mustang recently - not a common car so can be difficult to get insurance. Renewal quote was £700 FC, so he rings around and gets the quote down to £450 FC with another company. Then rings his own insurance co. back to tell them he's not going to renew - they ask why so mate tells them about his other quotes. Insurance co. now says 'hang on, let me see what we can do' - before changing their quote to £445! Mate's reaction is the same as mine would have been - "So what makes me £255 less of a risk in the space of a phone call? I'm definitely not going to ****ing renew now, you thieving ****s!!" I'm convinced they just make the quotes up on the spot... |
