Not sure about this, but may be mistaken. I undertood there to be 7 separate sections north of Perth, all on single carriageway sections, and one big section for Perth to Dunblane, but that each zone was independent of the others and not linked up across their full length.

On that basis, you can presumably speed to your heart's content in the dualled sections without triggering the average system ... except obviously the multitude of fixed speed cameras and police van cams will catch you instead!

You could, and I realise I'm going out on a limb here, just obey the speed limit.

Just on the A9 obviously, not between Fort William and Mallaig or anything. Or Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh. Or Maryburgh to Ullapool. Or between Lochgilphead and Oban...

Having the sv on a steady 60 mph for what seems a eternity on the a9 doesnt really feel good for the engine. I know its fine but those steady revs and vibration coming from a constantly steady needle just doesnt feel good for it.

K3 Job c.v: Engine:remove/split/rebuild/refit. Replace:Gearbox,Fuel pump,Gaskets. Piston clean,rings. Overhaul:Throttle body,Injectors,Brakes,Forks. Remove/refit:Exhaust,Radiator,Oil cooler,Throttle,Air filter,Tank. Replace: Oil,Coolant,grease,brake hoses & bleed.

What you do it go so quick that the cameras can't catch you

or get a speed camera van reg and use that
