First track day done :)
Well I finally got my first track day under my belt on Saturday, went to Rockingham which was a serious trek from Poole but so worth it.
For anyone that helped out with my "worry" thread, ended up with an ELWB Sprinter which did the job nicely, all 3 in secure and snug. Was nice to have somewhere to chill out during the day, actually had a full dry day which was nice, was dropping bricks about it raining. The SV did quite well actually, she struggled for drive out of the corners and on the straights but in the infield section she was great. Now considering throwing some money at her to track her. But then I should prob just buy a new bike haha. I have footage from each of my sessions so when I can work out how to fix the wrong date and time I'll link up some YouTube vids here.

Yeah totally agree there Jambo!
Had an epic adrenaline crash on Sunday though, need to win the euro lottery so I can just live at a track

Re: First track day done :)
Years ago I used to take my 350LC to Oulton Park for the day. You had to give a bloke £10 or £20, I forget, and ride the sparsely populated track with no other interruptions other than tea breaks and re-fuels. Did hundreds of laps round there in the '80s, it was brilliant fun and cheap as chips.

Re: First track day done :)
Good stuff Pyro! Rocky was my second track day, first was Snetterton, my poor SV struggled on those straights! Did you do the National layout or International? The latter uses the banked section. I did the national with all the infield section, that left corner that goes on for ever and the chicane after the first right was great, the National circuit was built for the SV.
I might do Mallory Park on the 19th this month, that's another great circuit for the SV, well worth doing, and its only £79 that day! Like you mate I've not done many track days but now I've done a few its addictive! |

Sounds great bunkle, I did te international motorcycle so the long banking is cut out with a little chicane just after the pit exit.
The straight was a bit of a struggle but those long lefts.... Ohhohohggggogogg

Re: First track day done :)
I say the SV is a good match for rockingham, you can embarrass 600/1000's as there's only really one straight.
I love that track but not the d!ck heads. IMO NL put to many people out in the inters and with the lack of straights you get to see some people doing to pretty stupid stuff to get round others. |

Fair enough mate, I was firmly in the novice group which to be fair had quite a lot but I think the spacing between groups was ok.
Did feel a bit harsh when I was getting my flow having pretty much everyone stuffing me here there and everywhere haha
