Standard rear shock question
Is it possible to get a pointy's standard shock serviced? My rear end is feeling a bit wallowy, almost like a flat tyre some times. I have jacked the pre load on it up and it still feels short.
Thinking that maybe the shock is on its way out and if I can save a few bob servicing it rather than getting a replacement that would be better! Ta!

Re: Standard rear shock question
Yes, but you might be able to buy one off the forum (£10/20) cheaper than a service. Have a call round your locals and ask their prices then see if anything pops up on the forum, someone should have on lying around.

Re: Standard rear shock question
If you want to replace it, you could try this. make the guy an offer you could have a decent shock for pretty cheap. Its an easy swap aswell. Just a thought...

Re: Standard rear shock question
Last I checked they weren't generally serviced by most companies, but there are plenty on eBay

I'm pretty sure I've still got the original one cluttering up the garage somewhere, K5 Pointy which had about 6k on it when I got it. You can have that for the price of the postage if you're really desperate. |
