Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I'm installing the windows 10 technical preview. Hopefully it'll be more desktop friendly than windows 8.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I washed my feather pillows then took them to the lauderette to tumble dry them. Helpful chap who runs the place said they'll take 4 hours! Whaaaaaattttt? Compromised on 2 hours while I went shopping which still cost me £12 and now they are hanging up near my heater and have to be fluffed every few hours. I'm a fluffer!
No wonder people but cheap synthetic pillows. What a faff.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
It's about the most tinkering I could manage. Now can anyone tell me how to remove the top box framework from the SV with minimal fuss? That was my planned tinkering yesterday but I was coughing too much.
Got to change the screen, seat, and get the lost tool kit out that's dropped into the plastics under the rear seat area too so booked a couple of days off work to get the bike ready to sell then got the lurgy.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Give it a good spray with WD to help get the rusty nuts moving

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Replacement wing mirror fitted to the car, despite the grim weather.
Now I know where all the door retaining screw are, so If I need to do it again, it won't be such a faff. If Vauxhall had fitted the electrical connector to nearer the mirror, you wouldn't even need to take the door card off!

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
What model? I had to replace the drivers side on my old 51-plate Astra and it was all just under the base plate. Took me far longer to spray the cover with the right colour and lacquer and as the new item was a pattern it did not fit as well...

03 Zafira
The connector is on a clip under the door card, plus there's a rubber grommet to seat in the door framework. Pretty sure my old Cavalier was an easy swap, just unscrew the fixings, and unplug like your Astra Sir Trev. At least my mirror was the plain version & I i got it for £20 plus P&P off Ebay. The old ones no good to repair, the tunc who kicked or thumped it off, did a thorough job
