Good news
Nice to see that in your sig - I have the same boots. Did they really save a fair bit of damage?

Yes, I'm sure they did. The bumper hit full on into my foot / lower leg and my ankle bent the heel plate in so far it touched the swing arm when the suspension worked. The stiffness of the foot area of the boot was key and the plastic reinforcings / guides were heavily scuffed. The heel guide actuall came out of it's runner. I'm convinced that without these boots I'd have been looking at a severe break in the middle of my foot and around the ankle.

I've just rung the solicitor and she says it'll take some time to settle and I'll have to go and see a consultant agreed by the other parties insurer to consider damages.

Let it be known when you post that letter up mate, I do a hell of a lot of filtering and it may come in handy one day.

Will do guys. My pc should come home tomorrow. Don't really know how much the letter had to do with the result because I also had a helpful witness. I'm not sure they even contested it ? I was fully expecting a bit of a battle and was supprised when the letters came. Justice done. I don't know how they get away with these 50 / 50 type settlements.

50/50 is bull,
There is always one thing which one driver did, which had they not done then the accident would not have occured. The driver in question is the one in the wrong/

Guys

The letter I submitted to my insurance and solicitors is now posted here. Hope you never need it.
