Default Is Ventura luggage any good?

thinking about it for the bike - it supposedly is well balanced and doesn't cause handling issues. Does anyone have any experience of them?

Also - they say they are waterproof, but are they really?

It's quite expensive so want to be sure before I buy.

Friends of mine who own it swear by it. I quite like the option of stashing gear on the pillion seat knowing it won't slide backwards or off to the sides. It's incredibly easy to load the rack with your bags too, and Ventura do a good selection of bags which everyone says are waterproof.

I'd buy it if I didn't change my bike so often.

It's going to cost about £230 for a full system- was also looking at topboxes but with fitting plates etc it's nearly £200 too, so I think I will go with the ventura.

I was looking at Ventura, but I'm not sure if it fits if you have a tailtidy fitted on the SV. Could be wrong, but best check first if you have a tailtidy.

From looking at the fitting video, I don't see why not, but worth checking deffo. I don't have a tailtidy so will be fine.

I might have been thinking about Givi hard panniers actually. It's one or the other which needs the snow shovel

I can't see that either would make any difference, there's no way you could attach any mountings to the snowshovel - they cant even take the weight of a full Scottoiler touring resevoir.
