bluetooth in the car?

i can connect the phone to it but when ppl phone me i can hear them but they cant hear me? any ideas? i cant see a microphone anywhere?

From what i know from beemers, they connect up to the phone and there is a microphone on the steering wheel usually

What year is the car?

If you have a B/T car kit it "should" have a mic. If not it'll try and use the one on the phone, that's why they can't hear you.

its an 2004 passat, the bluetooth kit was installed by the last owner its a vodafone one? the car beeps 30 seconds after i start up if the mobile doesnt connect, if it does connect then no bleep, when i get a call the stereo goes off and i can hear the caller but the caller cant hear me? i cant see a microphone anywhere? ive tryed hands free on the mobile so the phone mic can be used but still no go?

dude u need to find what kind of phone kit you have really and also what phone you got?

when you connect to the car it says the car is nokia but the phone is a Motorola? still cant find a mic in the car tho?

yer i was looking at the passat specs last night, looks like they connect to Nokias, i may be wrong but thats what i think i saw.

I think you need a mic Kwak. You may have to go to a dealer and ask if they're available as a separate item.
