Mountain bike gear
I have recently moved house to Forest Park area of Bracknell in Berkshire and only 10 minutes from me is The Lookout. It's a massive area of Swinely Forest full of mountain bike trails from hardcore downhill to family gravel path routes.
Anyway, I want to take up single track fast riding as a hobby but need bike helmet and any other kit I might need. Anyone on here do this as a hobby and can advise kit etc. Cheers

Re: Mountain bike gear
i got really lucky with mine but ebay is a winner i havent got much stuff yet but some decent trainers (depending if your going to for SPD's) and if your really going to get serious most likely going to need some shin elbow protection.

Re: Mountain bike gear
Cheers Tom. I am the most accident prone person on the planet so some form of protection might be good anyway, serious or not. Last time I was on push bike I got a massive bug in my eye then went over the bars and put my tooth through my lip

Re: Mountain bike gear
Few bits and bobs at Lidl from tomorrow.
Helmets for one and it'll do you for the time being. http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg//...d&ar=2&nf=True Their cycling stuff is ok and well made, although shorts are very basic, but their cycling jerseys are fine. Expect Aldi to have a similar offer sometime soon, as these stores regularly have these once or twice a year If not Decathlon are good price wise
