Default Are EBC American? (disclaimers)

Are EBC brake pads American?

Just been reading the instruction before installing my new pads (i.e. trying to get up the enthusiasim to go outside )

"Fit pads with friction material towards disc rotor" (their emphasis)

Avoid harsh braking for the first......UNLESS in an emergency"
