Can anyone tell me what the "rubber pipework" is that attaches to the exhaust system? Always been confused since i was a wee nipper, as its an exhaust, and surley hot exhaust gasses would melt rubber?
Some sort of vaccum pipe??? But then its nearly as large as the exhaust itself? ![]() But then a few seasons before/after, the pipework had totally changed to the bottom, and also made in the same material as the rest of the exhaust. ![]() Anyone know what they are for? |

Isn't it to do with engine cooling??
Air is drawn through the MIDDLE! of the engine using the same venturi effect as a curvy carb. ![]() |

Cool.
It would work drawing air through like that, stream of exiting exhaust will have a low pressure area in front of it if pipework is designed how it appears at first glance. Could be something else entirely like....
