Gladius wins a design award.
Just found this. I'm somewhat surprised.

Re: Gladius wins a design award.
Design as in clever ??... or design as in looks nice ??
A clever design award is worth something .... a looks nice design award isn't ...... I'm guessing its the later !! |

Re: Gladius wins a design award.
The Gladius has some very well thought out features. I personally think it looks good, though some of the colours are a bit girly, so am I so it's no great concern.
The key thing is while a number of people have criticised the plastic bits, just about every point I'd expect to touch down in an off has a plastic or metal plate that can be replaced easily covering the expensive parts like the tank, exhaust, frame etc. I quite like them. But I'm not really put in charge of these sort of awards, and I think that's for the best really. Jambo

Re: Gladius wins a design award.
I don't think its either,Its not clever if it don't appeal to the age group of people buying 650s, It dos'nt look as nice as a duke or brutale which is the same basic shape only tank an plastic bits are a better design, not talking lots of money just shaping of tank plastic.

Am I the only one who was disappointed by the content on GizMag.com?

Re: Gladius wins a design award.
I thought design awards were for innovation, I do like the gladius as it's a relatively pretty bike but award winning! I wouldn't have guessed it.
