Surprisingly it sometimes makes no difference at all.
I've found the same and it even varies between comparison sites!

I have a SV and my 67 Super Cub. Trying to compare insurance/get quotes is a nightmare, cannot use internet comparison sites as they do not cover my circumstances. Ring companies up and after 15 minutes I am often told that they do not cover old bikes or come up with some outlandish quote. Bikesure have been pretty good price wise

I used to run two old Hondas that qualified for Carol Nash's Classic Insurance,

Last time I used them was 2015 and was under £100 inclusive.
