Round Zero!!!

Yes folks, its the unofficial start to the MotoGP season as the riders and teams head to...a track in spain (jerez or catalunya?) to test, and on sundy battle it out in a qualifying-style shootout; fastest time wins a BMW, and makes everyone else look silly.

Can JT do it? Chances are, no. But two years ago James Ellison impressed by finishing 4th in a soggy catalunya, so anything is possible. Will Pedrosa be up to any kind of fitness for a fast lap? Will rossi pummel the oposition into the ground, like days of old, or will the ducati continue where it left off last season, beating everyone and making it all reall boring?

What of kawasaki and suzuki? do they have the mettle to challenge the faster teams?

1) rossi, 1m 40.641

2) TOSELAND, 1m 40.768

3) Stoner, 1min 40.893

These are the only three circulating up to the stated time in the 1m 40 bracket. Excited, me?

cool! let's hope it's a closer season this year

JT ended the day 5th, the last of only 5 riders to drop into the 1m 39 secs bracket. Ahead of him (in reverse order) where edwards, lorenzo, de puniet and hayden.

Roll on tomorrow - qualifying hour is on eurosport at 1pm!!!
