..plus you're going to need a new gasket for the generator cover when you come to fit it (just ordered an OEM one myself at a cost of £23), plus engine oil, and probably an oil filter.

Thanks Mike by the way for answering Grim-Lock's queries, much better than doing the old Chinese Whispers by me taking it away and asking you and then posting back on here.

Is there any real benefit to this?

Gives the crank an easier life, certainly an advantage in a race engine

And the rods, which apparently are the weak point in a curvy.

Yeah, you sure see those things being reported as failing on the regular haha

Just wondering what the point in spending money on the flywheel is, when you could put it towards making the bike actually faster in one of a few ways...advanced rider training (the bike's faster than you, most likely), better suspension, better tyres, better brakes...so on and so forth.

Just my pessimistic 2p worth

Well, i've already sorted the brakes and suspension on my build, but the advanced rider training was something i was intending to look into. But that means i'll have the training AND a lighter flywheel. Demi-god status maybe?

You'll be chasing down Rossi in no time!

You've got a GSXR front on your haven't you? Thought about getting the forks sorted by Maxton or K-Tech?
