gas light?(that'll be fuel warning light)
i have a 2003 SV650s. i filled up on fuel and at about 160 miles, my fuel light came on. is this normal milage before the fuel light comes on and also, how many more miles can i go after the fuel light has come on?

Re: gas light?
Your doing well to get 160 miles out a tank! Sorry, no idea how much fuel is left after the light comes on.

Re: gas light?
If you get 160 to the light, you've got an absolute maximum of another 40 miles before you're dry (the way you ride - you old granny ) safest to fill up within 20 maybe 30 miles though

Re: gas light?
Buggeration...better get my SV looked at then, or stop hooning it everywhere. Don't think I've ever seen more than 125 before the light's come on and that's with M-way cruising. A-road/B-road rideouts see me with the light on anywhere from 105-110, hope that's not too far below par or something might be wrong

Re: gas light?
Nothing wrong with 125.
90 is hard riding |

I must ride like a total pussy - 180-200 miles per tankful.

Re: gas light?(that'll be fuel warning light)
<-- i r clearly one of these
I tend to commute in relatively heavy traffic and don't get to hoon it that often. My comute is also characterised by some decent twistys that rewards smooth and fast but not lunaticly quick riding; plenty of "almost knee down" if you like. |
