Default My teeth are falling out :(

Always had a perfect dental record - turns out i have an 'incompetent dentist' I had to have 2 teeth rammed with glue, and have to go back for 4 fillings! I don't eat sweets, drink sugary drinks and I always brush my teeth Are fillings inevitable beyond childhood?

I had loads of fillings a a child and have just been to the dentist for the first time in 10 years and only need the thing doing I went for. There's no real reason you should need fillings as an adult as far as I know (I teach dentists but not about teeth).

In what way was the dentist incompetant?

Because I had been to see him 12 months ago, and the cavities they found were very prominent; nothing that could happen within 12 months. They even said that as my dental hygiene is really good (why thankyou ) that they could be 4-5 years old...

I'm 33, I've got no fillings.

He's a family friend- makes it a little harder. So I'll leave it at that. I'm getting the treatment for free through the dental school (I'm a little weary!) - but trying to register for an NHS dentist seems impossible nowadays!
