Default Noob Question about the dogbones

Ok probably a stupid question for those that know. But I have no idea so please don't laugh


I noticed the dogbones move side to side, is that supposed to happen?

Just took the swingarm off and I was expecting to have to grease the bearings, but there is actually quite a lot still in there for a 40k mile bike
