Re: monthly pay :(
Just wait till they privatise it and they pay you what they feel like when they feel like it.

63 weeks pay at the moment ? you get 1 week for every year you have been there I think (Statutory) have you been there 63 years? you didnt look half that last time I met you lol 63 x 330 (the statutory amount) = £20k+ As for being paid monthly instead of weekly I didnt realise Royal Mail was still in the dark ages.....I assumed everyone was paid monthly nowdays, that is a complete bugger of a situation they are putting you in though.

Re: monthly pay :(
20 years - you would get an enhancement . plus your statutory..
a friend of minewith 3o years at bentley has just walked away with 57K redundancy... Kwak.. go in to Hr and ask them to explain it properly to you- it IS confusing especially the "cusp" month at changeover. mate you have a family and kids you need toknow your cash flow is going to balance with your income exceeding your outgoings and they have a duty to explain it to you properly.. I will hazard a guess you have misunderstood it.. they wouldnt leave you with no pay mate..

Re: monthly pay :(
For now, the post office is still paying well above the odds for a redundance, what it will be like in a few years once the gvmt set private industry loose on it will be an awful lot less!
