Default Poor running after cam chain swap

So, put simply, I've just replaced my cam chains and put everything back together and now it's not running right.
Before it ran fine (aside from cam chain noise) but now... Not so much.

I've triple checked the cam timing, seems to be fine, turned the crank 360° between cylinders, tried old and new plugs (spark seems fine with plugs out) and valve clearances seem to be within spec. I'm at a loss as to what it could be so any ideas would be appreciated. Exhaust sound is very uneven, and that whistling sound is fairly well pronounced

The first thing I'd be interested in is what was dropping into your drain bucket of oil?

Next I'd look at the injectors, are the on properly? Same question for the airbox and suchlike, what did you remove as part of the process, might help to track the problem down?

I haven't got the coolant hoses tightened, it's just water. I did have the throttle bodies off but I didn't take the injectors out

I can't hear the whistling sound but it sounds to me like the throttle bodies might need balancing, or maybe there's a slight air leak from an airbox or TB mounting rubber. Are all the rubber sealing caps OK on the TBs?

Throttle bodies/ injectors, are they seated correctly with no air leaks?

And why were you swapping the cam chains?

Are you running the standard cam chain tensioners?

What did you remove and replace as part of the process?
