A466/a417 - SV650.org

Just back from rainy Cornwall. Headed south via the A49 and then the fabulous A466 from just south of Hereford to Chepstow, the road goes via Monmouth, and then across the Severn Bridge onto the M4/M5. On the way back today I did A39 Falmouth to Truro, A30 to Exeter/M5 to Glos, took the A417 from Gloucester to Hope-under-Dinmore, which is just south of Leominster. What perfect bike roads these two are - ie A466 and A417 (NOT the M5!!!!). Lots of stupid 50s on the A417 but no fixed cameras and everyone seemed to enjoy the road (NB I was in the car). Just got to find a way of linking them together (preferably not using the A38 although I will if needs must

) for a great day out

That Gloucester to Dinmore road is great, I agree! Maybe a Borders Meander ride in there somewhere Ed?
