Just put a Race RS filter in my bike, with an ART end can and put 147.5 jets in. Bike's actually running a lean, and I've been put in touch with the company that helped BMC design the Race RS filter, www.factorypro.com
I'm waiting for them to get back to me with jetting ideas, and will let you know what comes back. |

No apologies, that was a mis-type. I meant lean. I'm looking at putting 155's in and seeing how that goes.

Bit of a pointer, just put 160's in my bike after a bit of guessery and talking to northwind and it's still too lean.
Far better than the 147.5's, but still not right by a decent margin. Looks like larger jets needed for me, I reckon 167.5's or 170's to get it right. Then a trip down to the local dyno place to get me a fuel readout and see how close I am. Long and short of the "advice" I got off that bloke was he wanted about $130 plus a hefty postage and packaging charge for one of his carb kits, esentially a needle and a set of jets (which he doesn't seem to want to release the size of), and a bmc filter which obviously I already own. I'll let you know my findings once tried the larger jets and what seems the most appropriate, so long as you appreciate that these are found to be right for me and may not be right for your setup. |
