Wheel bearings and front end GSXR swap.
Some of you will know I'm putting parts together for a front end swap. The only problem is I know NOTHING about bike mechanics.
This will be a stupid question but I'll ask anyhow. I have a GSXR K4 wheel which looks fine. Only problem is when I put my finger in the spindle hole (see don't even know the word for that) nothing seems to move. I would expect the bearings to spin with presure from my fingers. So what do people think? Do I need new ones? If so any recommendations on what to get? Also anyone fancy either doing the front end swap on my behalf or giving me a hand for a few beer tokens? Thanks Nick |

Re: Wheel bearings and front end GSXR swap.
if the bearings are not turning and are seized its vital you replace them.
bit of a patronising question hear but as you say you know nothing about mechanics are you sure the wheel came with the bearings in it, can you see them? |

Thanks for the reply Have a look at this I assume the bearings are within. I'm right in saying I should be able to move the bearings with my fingers? Nick |

Sounds like the bearings are toast, they should be nice and smooth and free.
Less than a tenner for new ones though.

Marksman industrial and get koyos. Same as OEM without anybody playing a banjo and telling you to squeal like a piggy.
