SV650 SV1000 Fairings - Do you know the difference?

Hello All

After a little tumble on my 2009 sv650 I need a replacement RHS lower fairing.

I have found someone with the fairing I need and they can paint it ysf Triton Blue to match. Great stuff, problem solved!!

However, they have just said they are not sure if the replacement fairing they have is for a sv650 or sv1000.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the actual fairing or just the fixing brackets? I have read various differing opinions on the org about this.

If the fairings are indeed different, does anyone know how you could tell the difference? There are no numbers or stickers on the replacement fairing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I vote they are the same. Same plastics anyway.

They have different part numbers for the fairing, I only checked the 2007 models though

The lower fairings for SV650s and Thou's are different due to different frame, water pump size and fairing hangers, all other fairing parts are the same

Turns out they are different. On the back of the fairing near one of the fixing holes, it will either say sv650 or sv1000. Guy I bought it from took a while to find this!

This is the stamp on the fairing. I guess it is possible that the thou uses the same fairing, maybe get someone with a thou to check what their fairing stamp says...
