Exhaust wanted.
Hi guys......I'm after a can for my new sv650s. I want tone that sounds amazing. What would you recommend?
I'm torn between Remus revolution and a Blue Flame oval twin port. Hmmmm......noise! |

Hi there
Which ever you choose, you won't be dissapointed by the sound I pretty much promise you. I have heard a lot more complaints about blue flame than I have remus. Blue flame are probably cheaper at the cost of not having any sort of after sale service as they are re-nowned for being crap at this. I've always liked Remus. The remus revolution can I had on my sv was top notch kit, I loved it. Although, whichever you go for, I would get stainless steel unless you like to polish (they tend to fade quite quickly I find) |

Out of those two I'd have the remus if it was my money
Have a look in the exhaust section there is plenty of useful stuff in there

Okay next question...........how hard is it to fit the can?
I'm going to get the Remus Revolution. Some guy told me I will have to cut my standard exhaust off???! Never heard of that before and I'm not too keen as the bike is brand new. Anyone know if this is true? Dan |

Yeah, fraid so. Unless you buy a full or 3/4 system, which would be expensive. But it's not that big a deal. You cut through your exhaust with a hacksaw or grinder, down near the bottom just behind the weld, and fit the link pipe on there. If you need to go back to standard, most companies supply a sleeve that can be used to cover the cut.

Thanks Northwind. Darn it. Oh well, I guess it will be worth it for that Remus goodness.

I'd definately say so... It doesn't really do much to resale value either, by all accounts. At worst, you can usually pick up SV exhausts fairly cheaply on Ebay.
