Clutch setting.
hi does anyone know where the clutch should ingage and how much play you should have, i know it is mainly personal preference. But is there a standard setting?

Not really, no. Adjust the clutch, (not just the cable), correctly then adjust the cable free play to your taste - ensuring that if your leave more than just a trace of slack in the cable that the clutch still lifts sufficiently. If it doesn't drag it's OK.
