Pro tyre A10 Enfield. anyone used?
Thought I'd post in here as it's the nearest area.
No geographical filter in 'tyres section' I'm in Finchley. Pro tyre Enfield looks like the nearest/easiest to get to, ride in ride out tyre service. Any other suggestions? (without heading south too far) Anyone used 'em? good-bad-indifferent? Cheers Julian |

Dont know if it qualifies as too far south, but I would continue south along the A10 to Essential Rubber. Been there twice, will continue to go there. David

Dude, i'm 5 mins away from you in Mill Hill and i go to Essential Rubber too.
The Holloway Road bit is annoying cos of all the speed cameras and traffic lights but the rest of the route is a doddle especialy if you use the A1 thru to Holloway Road. Or these is always FWR in Oval if you work in town?

Re: Pro tyre A10 Enfield. anyone used?
Thanks for that folks
Don't work in town or use it for commuting - just playing on the hertfordshire lanes- hence not wanting to head south into the carnage. Looks like essential rubber will be worth a call and I'll see what pro tyre have to say/in stock. Probably going for bridgestones (020 or 021) they inspired loads more confidence on my old fazer than these stock dunlops, granted they've done 8k and the rear is very square but they do move/slip a bit. BTW can/do these places adjust your chain and align your wheel for you too? (made a bit of a hamfisted attempt a while back and I'm not convinced it's straight ) So in summary, tyres are shot and back wheel maybe skewed......no wonder I don't trust the grip |

the guys in Essential will do all that for you if you ask, they're a good bunch, used them myself for the last few years.
Cheers Mark.

Wouldn't even take my CG125 to FWR from some of the stories I have heard.

Two new Bridgestone 021's fitted this afternoon at ProTyre.
Essential were £1 cheaper, but I knew exactly where pro tyre were, so it saved the possibilty of getting lost. Wheel aligned, chain adjusted and ultra-seal put in. Nice place, seating/waiting area, with coffee & sweetie machine and papers to read. Guy doing the bike tyres looked like he knew what he was doing, new-looking, clean equipment. Overall I was pretty impressed. |
