CCC or Scorpion`
Hi Folks - it's raining so I have decided to research exhausts!
Appreciate that the topics of exhausts is very subjective and each person prefers their own but if it came down to 2 (which it has due to budget constraints) which would you go for - CCC or Scorpion? I would appreciate any thoughts that you have as I'm looking to buy one but want to make an informed decision first. Also - lots of people mention that you can get a CCC for £100 to £110 on ebay. I have tried searching under many different titles but can't find anything. Do they still retail on ebay for that price? It's for a 99 Curvy by the way. Cheers. |

I hate the way Scorpions sound, they're all volume and rasp. Just plain nasty IMO. But they're well made.

Going from standard can, buy the cheapest. Both sound relatively the same in my ears, it's once they've been used a bit that they sound better (especially if you can get a 2nd hand can used on a bigger twin )
It's a no brainer. |

Carbon Can Company have no link pipes for SV650s at moment, they were expecting a delivery last week and were then going to put them back on eBay for £110.

Customer service with Carbon Can is top notch. I bought my bike second hand with a CCC fitted, at the time I needed to refit a standard can for the MOT and had no connecting pipe so phoned Carbon Can. They supplied one free of charge even though I had not bought my can directly from them.
Like all Lancastrians, they are very friendly, courteous and polite people.

I tried to buy a Scorpion can, payed the money and waited for three weeks for it not to turn up. Should have been a week, then the middle of the second and was supposed to have been posted after the second week. I cancelled the order. I don't know (or care) who was at fault but I didn't want to deal with the fob off waffle.
I heard a few scorpion cans at the AR and they sounded pretty good, then I heard the CCC on a K5 and that sounded a more deeper tone. I ordered the CCC on the Friday, got it on the Monday. Managed to get the ebay price over the phone even though they were not on the ebay shop. Oh and they sent a link pipe to put the original can back on. Top bunch to deal with. |
